Anti-drug publicity activities aim to raise public awareness on the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of staying away from drug. A multi-faceted approach is adopted to disseminate anti-drug messages:

    A series of four episodes were produced and broadcast on New World First Bus during summer holidays to equip the public with more in-depth information on the harm of drugs.

      Photo With the assistance of Hutchison Telecom (HK) Ltd, anti-drug SMS messages were sent to 50,000 mobile phone users aged between 18 and 25 during summer holiday.






    International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

    In 1989, the United Nations General Assembly declared 26 June each year to be the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. Member jurisdictions agree to hold large scale anti-drug campaign on that day to disseminate anti-drug message to show their determination to combat drug abuse and illicit trafficking.
