A District-based Preventive Network in Combating Substance Abuse Among High Risk Youths
Project Approved in 1999
To employ1 ASWO, 2 SWA and 1 CO II for 3 years to launch drug preventive programmes such as guidance groups, life and social skills training for the high-risk youth of Tsuen Wan and Kwai Ting Districts. Other activiies include parent's seminars, train-the-trainers workshops, production of a resources package, and district-based educational programmes.
No Drugs in Our Heart

Targeted at the female clients of the centre. Participants will attend anti-drug training workshops and camps, then devise their own anti-drug activities for launching in children and youth centres.
Grow in Happy and Healthy Way

Targeted at students of the applicant. Activities include lecture on healthy diet, drama / essay writing / bookmark/slogan/poster competitions, civic education on drug problem, social studies on smoking problem, adventure-based counselling and training , "Star of the month" competition etc.
Anti-drug Task Force Community Education Programme (III)

Targeted at at -risk youths. Phase I will focus on healthy recreational and sports activities such as football, basketball snooker, karaoke, stop-smoking group, exhibition and quiz. Phase I participants will be encouraged to take part in Phase II activities including adventure and life- skills training and creative street drama . Phase III is the performance of street drama and variety show by Phase II participants.
