This project aims at training social workers and counsellors to use an integrated cognitive-behavioural approach (ICBT) to deliver prevention and intervention services for cannabis abusers, general youths, parents and teachers. Project elements include training and supervision for social workers and counsellors, psychoeducation workshop and individual counselling delivered by trained social workers and counsellors, and translation and validation of cannabis abuse screening tool.

This project aims at raising awareness of drug harms, improving mental health, rectifying misunderstanding about drug use, establishing positive lifestyle and enhancing drug resistance among young people. Project elements include five senses experiential workshops for high-risk youths, online and offline Live-action Role Play Game for high-risk youths, tertiary students and rehabilitees, online assessment tool for high-risk youths, online and offline cognitive behavioural therapy for high-risk and drug-abusing youths, face-to-face Chinese medical consultation for high-risk and drug-abusing youths and training scheme for tertiary students to become online influencer.

This project aims at developing drug rehabilitees’ personal competence so that they could connect with and contribute to the society so as to avoid relapse during the process of reintegration. Project elements include career sharing/ workshops for drug rehabilitees, anti-drug video channel for general public, career counselling for drug rehabilitees, volunteer service by drug rehabilitees, anti-drug seminar cum sharing for secondary students (including ethnic minority students), vocational training courses for drug rehabilitees, basic professional qualification/ license courses for drug rehabilitees and advanced professional qualification/ license courses for drug rehabilitees.

This project aims at providing aftercare services to support the rehabilitated drug abusers for sustained abstinence in the community. Project elements include anti-drug training workshops for students, preparatory groups prior to discharge, motivational enhancement case work counselling, relapse prevention counselling service, counselling services for family members, medical consultation services after discharge, drug tests, anti-drug support group for family members, interest groups and leisure activities for drug rehabilitees and their family members, anti-drug training for volunteers, family members and rehabilitees counselling groups, sharing workshops by rehabilitated drug abusers using a mobile vehicle, intensive community care services for drug rehabilitates, work companionship guidance programme and family fun day.

Re-life-cation - Drug Prevention and Counselling Scheme

This project aims at building up participant’s awareness on the harms of cannabis through a multidimensional prevention education programme. Project elements include cannabis focused preventive education, such as anti-drug Virtual Reality (VR) activities, real escape games for tertiary students, medical worker and social worker outreaching services to high risk youths, capacity building workshops for teachers and social workers, cannabis focused anti-drug workshops for parents of drug abusers and general parents, anti-drug ambassadors scheme for tertiary students and rehabilitated drug abusers, leisure activities to engage high risk youths, young cannabis abusers and rehabilitees, cannabis focused parent support workshops for parents of drug abuser, “Re-Life-Cation” medical consultation and career counselling for drug abusers, family activities for drug abusers and their family members, VR-based relapse prevention activities, vocational training and job placement.

This project aims at providing support services to drug abusers and their young children to prevent inter-generation drug abuse problems and raising the anti-drug awareness of students and parents. Project elements include training for frontline social workers/ anti-drug workers to support drug-abusing families, school and community seminars/ workshops for parents, anti-drug drama training workshops for parents, anti-drug drama for secondary students, production of anti-drug videos for grantee’s service users and general public, family counselling for drug-abusing families, sports groups and playgroups for children of drug abusers/ ex-drug abusers, parent-child activities for drug-abusing families, anti-drug parenting groups for children’s carers and production of folders with anti-drug messages for general public.

“Buddies' Hub” - Peer-in-a-Team Support Service on Hidden Drug Users

This project aims at identifying hidden drug abusers and enhancing their motivation to quit drugs through the various treatment and rehabilitation activities. Project elements include physical and online outreaching to identify drug abusers, professional counselling for drug abusers, mutual support group, recreational activities and volunteer training and services by drug abusers, drug rehabilitees and rehabilitated drug abusers, formation of a volunteer team for community sharing, establishment of a team which consists of drug abuser volunteers, rehabilitees and peer supporters, production of ten short videos on the story of rehabilitees for dissemination on social media.

Project EMBRACE - Community-Based Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Support Service for Ethnic Minorities + Pre-release and Drug Prevention

This project aims at providing community-based drug prevention and treatment services for ethnic minorities. Project elements include drug prevention program for ethnic minority students, professional training for anti-drug frontline staff, outreaching services for the at-risk individuals, ethnic minorities at workplaces or schools, online and offline mass program to reach ethnic minority community members, ongoing support during drug treatment, counselling with motivational interviewing, case plan with treatment and rehabilitation services, rehabilitation strengthening programme, career and life planning program for ethnic minority drug abusers, family reconciliation program for family members of ethnic minority drug abusers or rehabilitees, pre-release preparation service for ethnic minority inmates and vocational skills training courses and job trial scheme for ethnic minority drug abusers or rehabilitees.

This project aims at supporting drug abusing parents to quit drugs and avoid relapse, and preventing intergenerational drug abuse problem among the children of drug abusers. Project elements include pre-natal and post-natal workshops for drug abusing parents, sharing session for the community stakeholders, outreaching services for hidden drug abusers, casework counselling and family counselling, intergenerational family support services, pre-natal and post-natal medical services for drug abusing mothers, mutual parenting support groups for fathers and mothers, supportive services for partners of drug abusers, mentorship programme for rehabilitees, work-trial and career planning service, volunteer service for community and parent-child group sessions.
