“Free from Drug” Anti-drug movie project
Project Approved in 2016
This project aims at engaging young film makers in anti-drug training workshops and mobilising them to produce high quality films that can raise the public’s awareness about drug harms. Young film makers will be recruited to participate in a micro-film contest and an anti-drug workshop. The best movie scripts selected by a panel of professional adjudicators will be provided sponsorship for film production. The final series of anti-drug films produced will be shown in a local cinema and broadcast online.

This project aims at building up the anti-drug awareness of primary school students by visits to Hong Kong Jockey Club Drug InfoCentre or drug treatment services, health check and information kiosk in schools, soci-games, interactive theatres and health ambassador scheme. Professional training for frontline social workers and online counselling services for parents and young people will also be provided.
“Your Choice” Nano-movie Competition cum “Blazing Spirit” Youth Ambassador Programme

This project aims at raising the anti-drug awareness of young people through a short movie competition. Script-writing and nano-movie making workshops will be arranged and a prize presentation ceremony will be organised. The nano-movies will be broadcast in public venues. Roving exhibitions for dissemination of anti-drug publicity materials and information on drug treatment and rehabilitation services will be organised.
Project EVER – Drug Counselling Program with Virtual and Activity Based

This project aims at adopting a “stepped-care model” for early identification and intervention for high-risk youth and drug abusers with mental health issues using “virtual reality” and activity based exercises. Project elements include early detection and prevention, low intensity intervention and drug risk containment, high intensity therapy and professional development. Assessments on integrated mental health and risk for drug use for students/youths/young adult outside school network will be conducted. High-risk youths, potential drug abusers with mental health and emotional issues and family members will receive different level of intervention service.

This project aims at improving parenting skills and family relationship, as well as reducing criminal and drug abuse problems among at-risk youths and young drug abusers. A screening tool will first be developed in collaboration with university scholars for identification of high risk families. Multi-levels of training will then be organised for at-risk families or families with drug abusing members. A localised counselling handbook will be published.
“Project SEToff”– Anti-Drug Program for Working Youth and Hidden Drug Abusers

This project aims at identifying potential drug abusing youths and facilitating drug abusers to reintegrate into the society. Project elements include production of anti-drug videos in collaboration with Youtubers, establishment of social media platform for promotion of positive lifestyle and launching of “caring workplace” campaign for dissemination of anti-drug messages and building of referral mechanism, provision of physical check-up, mental health assessment, brief solution focused therapeutic intervention, cognitive behavioural therapy for drug abusers and counselling services for family members of drug abusers.
Holistic Wellness : Integrated Anti-drug Service Scheme for Female Sex Workers

This project aims at enhancing the knowledge of female sex workers on the harm of drug use and cultivating a healthy lifestyle to lower their risk of drug abuse. Project activities include individual and outreach visits, group activities, hotline and online outreaching, production of anti-drug booklets, provision of counselling and referral service to hidden drug-abusing females. Training workshops for frontline workers from medical, social service and education sectors and peer educators will also be organised.
Integrated Anti-Drug Service

This project aims at enhancing the anti-drug knowledge of the gay population and the gay drug abusers’ motivation to seek help and quit drugs. Preventive education and publicity programmes will be provided to the gay population including outreaching, group activities, internet outreaching, publication of anti-drug leaflets and enhancement of mobile apps. Counselling services, therapeutic groups, medical service and peer counsellors training will be provided.
Sisterhood and rejuvenation-comprehensive supporting service for young drug abusing mothers and ex-drug abusing young mothers

This project aims at reducing/eliminating drug use of drug abusing mothers, preventing ex-drug abusing mothers from relapse, building a supporting network and improving their parenting skills. Project elements include community drug education program, individual counselling and work trial scheme for drug-abusing mothers, relapse prevention groups for ex-drug abusing mothers, mutual support programme and vocational training.

This project aims at engaging potential young adult female drug abusers for treatment through art therapy. It also aims at empowering family members, social workers and teachers in supporting drug abusers. Project elements include outreach services, drug awareness and education programs, drug treatment rehabilitation services integrated with art therapy, time-out sessions and medical assessment/services for drug abusers or their family members. Community-based art therapy drug workshop and training workshop for social workers and teachers will also be organised.
