QK Blog- the Sunflower Bed
Project Approved in 2010 (R1)
At-risk youth will be preliminarily identified through physical fitness assessment in secondary schools located in Kwai Tsing District and web-based lifestyle questionnaire. Further assessment by social worker, occupational therapist, nurse and specialist doctor on their family, physical and mental aspects will be conducted in the QK Blog centre. If required, occupational lifestyle redesign programme for adolescents will be provided to the identified drug users.
Project Shine II

Training workshops for parents, teachers and social workers on early identification and intervention will be organised in Tsuen Wan and Kwai Tsing districts. For young drug abusers, counselling and motivational activities based on an evidence-based cognitive behavioural therapy will be provided. A clinical psychologist will be engaged to strengthen the psychological services in the aspects of assessment, individual and group counselling.
"Moving Heart" Campaign

Rehabilitated youth and adult drug abusers will be arranged to attend a 'total value' training course which will be delivered by corporate managers, university professors, outstanding young persons and rehabilitated drug users. Trained rehabilitated abusers will perform voluntary work and deliver anti-drug talks in schools.
Reaching Out to South Asian Community on Drug Education II (ROSA II)

Culturally sensitive drug awareness educational programmes for South Asian ethnic youth and community members will be arranged. Also, specialised preventive intervention covering primary, secondary and tertiary aspects for the South Asian youth will be arranged to enhance their efficacy against drug abuse. Knowledge and awareness building, health check, employment support, rehabilitative treatment referral and relapse prevention will be included in the project.
Family and Community Based Residential Treatment Service for Young Substance Abusers

A family based short-term residential treatment service for young substance abusers and intensive community-based aftercare service will be provided. Parent groups will be organised for parents of the youth substance abusers for enhancing their parenting skills.
Project '3F' (Free from Drugs; Friends of You; Faith in Life)

The project provides a one-stop outreaching and rehabilitation service which includes identification of drug addicts, counselling, rehabilitation and aftercare services. Casework counselling through motivational interviewing and harm reduction methods, training for peer counsellor, and volunteer work will be arranged in the project.
Community based Recovery & Support Program for the South Asians

This territory-wide project aims at identifying and engaging drug dependent persons of the South Asian minority into a community-based recovery and support programme. Peer counselling and cognitive-behavioural therapy approaches will be adopted throughout the project.
Abssians Enjoy Healthy & Drug-free Life

Students will help design notice boards to promote healthy school life as well as disseminate anti-drug messages. The knowledge for teachers will be enhanced and talks for parents will be organised to promote harmonious family.

The project involves a diversified range of activities for students and their parents. Students of the whole school will be encouraged to take part in activities that promote healthy life and “no-drug” attitude. Parents will have joint activities with their children or workshops to enhance their knowledge on drugs and communication skills.
Fight Against Drugs Together

Students will be recruited to perform an anti-drug musical. Roving performance in other schools will be arranged. Anti-drug exhibitions and workshops will be conducted to consolidate students’ anti-drug knowledge.
