Tender Web: Parents’ Love, Kids No Drug

To target at parent education. A website especially designed for parents and a hotline will be operated. Parents with children as rehabilitated drug abusers will be recruited as Peer Counselors to share their experience with young people. School-based activities, exhibitions and parent workshops will be provided for primary and secondary schools.

To target at parent education, which involves development of 1 skill-based curriculum and 1 self-study package. Parent workshops, seminars and individual coaching sessions will be organized.
Excellence with No Drugs

To strengthen the public awareness for prevention of cross boundary drug abuse. For high-risk youths, an adventure camp and visits will be arranged. Other anti-drug activities will also be held. Professionals in the anti-drug field will be invited to join a conference to share their experience with local social workers, educators, youths and their parents.
“Drug-free Together” Peer Counsellor Scheme

To recurit college students and volunteers as Peer Counselors, who will provide support to rehabilitated or occasional substance abusers. Assignments include drug abuse survey, exhibition, compilation of publicity leaflet, production of anti-drug short film and drama.
Resources Kit on “Treatment and Prevention Programs for Cough Medicine Abuser”
Project Approved in 2005
To compile a resource kit, featuring guidance and prevention of cough medicine abuse for youths, which will be distributed to frontline workers and police officers. The frontline workers will also be encouraged to provide preventive education for parents, based on the CD attached to the training kit.
Xperience - Beat Drugs Project

To visit popular spots to reach out to high-risk youths, where they will be provided with body-check and counseling service. A series of challenge courses, titled X-game, will be organized. Workshops will also be held for parents and teachers.
Drugs Awareness and Cautious Enhancement Project (D.A.N.C.E.)

To disseminate the anti-drug message to the ethnic minority groups. A resource kit, written in Urdu and Nepalese, will be compiled. School-based workshops and anti-drug programme will be organized for the target groups.
A Survey in Folate Deficiency and its Serious Consequence in Drug Abuser, with Emphasis on Cough Mixture Abuse

To conduct a study on the association between severe folate deficiency and psychotropic substance abuse, in particular cough mixture abuse. This hospital-based screening programme will involve patients who are cough mixture and other substance abusers.
Open Door for You: Female Out-patient Counselling Service
Project Approved in 2004
To provide out-patient counselling service to rehabilitated female drug abusers. Training, self-help groups and sex education will be arranged for both the participants and their families.
HKMA Beat Drugs Seminar

To organise a half-day seminar to update professionals in the anti-drug field on the psychological and social assessment of poly-drug abusers.
