A Pioneering Longitudinal Study of the Development and Validation of a Drug Prevention Programme in Hong Kong

Phase II Project-Reservoirs Upgrading Works Near Shing House at Shek Kwu Chau Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre

To carry out upgrading works for the reservoir near Shing House at Shek Kwun Chau to reinstate its existing capacity. Fresh water system on the Island is entirely independent of the Hong Kong main supplies. Since the sixties, the reservoir beds have been filled up with sand and debris and no upgrading works have been carried out. Water rationing has to be imposed during the dry months.

Hand-in-hand, Beat Drugs Together - Beat Drugs Volunteer Corps Movement

To launch a territory-wide "Beat Drugs Volunteers Corps Movement". Beat Drugs Volunteer Corps targeting youth of 6-21 will be formed at district level. The team will provide health care talks and program skills training to Corps members who will organize community education programs to educate their peers about negative impact of substance abuse.
