The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has been unwavering in promoting anti-drug work. The Action Committee Against Narcotics (ACAN), as a government advisory body, advises the government on narcotics issues. This year marks the 60th anniversary of ACAN’s establishment. To commemorate this milestone, the Narcotics Division of the Security Bureau and ACAN will co-host the “Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area Anti-drug Summit” at the Hong Kong Police Headquarters Auditorium on Friday, 5 September 2025.
This one-day summit aims to strengthen anti-drug co-operation in different facets across the Greater Bay Area, including those with non-governmental organisations. In addition to youth drug prevention strategies, the summit also seeks to deepen the co-operation among various agencies on law enforcement, intelligence sharing, and the analysis of emerging drug trends.
