Project elements include production of short videos for general public, online and physical outreaching services for hidden drug abusers, professional counselling service for drug abusers, sports experiencing sessions, sports psychology training sessions, sports training sessions, volunteer work sessions, vocational support and work trial for drug abusers.
“Leave Troubles, Invigorating Future” Strength Based Integrative Project for High-risk-youth and Young Drug Abusers

This project aims at raising anti-drug awareness and knowledge on the harms of cannabis and cocaine, and consequences of drug trafficking among high-risk individuals including ethnic minority communities and young drug abusers, as well as providing counselling interventions and aftercare services to enhance young drug abusers’ motivation to quit drugs. Project elements include physical outreaching services in Yau Tsim Mong district to reach out local and ethnic minority high-risk youths, sport and art-based anti-drug prevention education groups for local and ethnic minority high-risk youths, drug treatment counselling and aftercare support services, short-term medical or psychiatry consultation, sport and art-based program and volunteer service for young drug abusers, production of short videos about drug harms and legal consequences of drug abuse/trafficking to be shared in social media and project-end experience sharing session on anti-drug prevention education and counselling experience for anti-drug personnel.

This project aims at improving the motivation of drug abusers to seek treatment and quit drugs through a series of rehabilitation services, and providing anti-drug preventive education to school teachers, students and general public. Project elements include anti-drug talks for secondary school teachers and students, anti-drug sharing in churches, methadone clinic outreach to engage drug abusers, traditional Chinese medicine consultation, weekly support group meeting, education workshops, health and wellness activities for local and ethnic minority drug abusers and rehabilitees.

Project elements include anti-drug community education workshops for students, professionals and high-risk youths, virtual reality (VR) relapse prevention counselling, relapse prevention sports groups and a series of “body, soul and spirit” activities for drug abusers and rehabilitated drug abusers.

This project aims at improving the motivation of arrested hidden drug abusers to seek treatment and quit drugs through providing pre-trial and post-trial drug rehabilitation services to them and providing support service to their family members. Project elements include regular venue-based outreach at courts, Correctional Service Department facilities and entertainment venues, such as shisha bars, Internet-based outreach through Instagram and Facebook to identify hidden high-risk youths, hidden drug abusers or their family members, individual counselling services for hidden drug abusers and their family members, relapse prevention/psycho-education/experiential workshops for drug abusers and their family members, therapeutic groups and experiential workshops through mindfulness exercises, counselling cards and expressive arts, sports, handcrafts and arts, music, yoga, etc. for hidden drug abusers, medical assessment and treatment service to improve hidden drug abusers and their family members’ mental, physical and dental health; self-care service for family members of drug abusers to stabilize their emotions and cope with the stress, and family activities to strengthen family relationships of drug abusers.
Project Empathy II – Drug Prevention Service Project for Ethnically Diverse High-risk Youths and their Parents/Carers

This project aims at promoting anti-drug knowledge among high-risk ethnically diverse (ED) youths and their parents/carers, encouraging early help-seeking behaviours and facilitating early identification of hidden drug abusers within their communities. Emphasis will be placed on prevention of cannabis and cocaine abuse and improving participant’s understanding about the legal consequences of drug abuse and drug trafficking in Hong Kong. Project elements include social and positive lifestyle and skills group programme, leisure activity and health programme, educational youths’ group and anti-drug ambassador training and placement for high-risk ED youths/hidden drug abusers, educational and support groups for parents/carers of high-risk ED youths/hidden drug abusers, physical and online outreaching services and crisis intervention, counselling, follow-up and referral services to identify and help high-risk ED youths/hidden drug abusers and their parents/carers.
