A Multi- Centre Efficacy Trial of Naltrexone Maintenance Therapy in Hong Kong

To conduct a clinical trial to examine the efficacy of naltrexone maintenance therapy among recently detoxified opiate addicts in Hong Kong. The participants of the trial will be referred by five substance abuse clinics, methadone clinics and drug treatment centres.
We Can Dance (VCD) - An initiative to combat substance abuse in rave parties

A 18-month project targeted at high-risk youths and those frequenting rave parties and discos in NT West. A mobile team will be set up to conduct out-reach drug free education and counselling and follow-up programme such as talks, seminars and workshop for target beneficiaries.

To provide gender specific programme for female drug abusers. A drop-in centre will be set up in Wan Chai with rooms for conselling and group work, computers and karaoke and band rooms. Outreach services to medical, correctional institutions and drug treatment centres will also be provided.
Adventure-based Counselling Training Programmes
Project Approved in 2001
To train up the existing peer counsellors of the applicant's drug treatment centre as qualified trainers on adventured based training. It also proposes to purchase some equipment for use in the adventure-based training.
6th AFTC International Conference, Hong Kong
Project Approved in 2001
To organise an international conference in 2003 comprising plenary sessions, workshops, and field visits. It is estimated that 200 overseas delegates and 200 local delegates in the anti-drug field will attend the conference.
